Welcome to the 2024-25 school year! Our theme for this school year is “Adventure Awaits!” Our mission is to challenge our students to set goals and work hard to accomplish and exceed their own expectations. The Gettysburg team is ready to come alongside our students to support them to be the best that they can be in Mind, Body, and Spirit.
Gettysburg Elementary has a long tradition of academic excellence. Over the years, Gettysburg has been the recipient of many awards such as National Blue Ribbon School, State Distinguished School, Honor Roll, California Business for Education and Excellence, Bonner School of Character and PBIS “Platinum” School.
We invite our parents and community to partner with us this school year. We believe that collaboration between parents, teachers, and the community is the most effective way of encouraging students to reach their dreams.
Please check with your child’s teacher, our office staff, or our Parent Club for information on how to stay involved in your child’s education. Please consider getting involved with our Parent Teacher Club (PTC), School Site Council (SSC), English Language Advisory Committee (ELAC), Intercultural Diversity Advisory Committee (IDAC) or School Assessment and Review Team (SART).
At Gettysburg Elementary, student safety is of the upmost importance. Our staff believes that is our mission to provide a safe, academically rigorous learning environment. To ensure student safety, our school utilizes the Raptor Visitor Management System. All visitors are required to check-in at our office when visiting the campus. The Raptor System allows us to screen visitors and volunteers in our schools to promote security on our campus. In addition, we will continue to use Catapult Emergency Management System (EMS) to keep our kids safe at school.
